I was just talking to a friend and he said his cleaning lady has been at his apartment for five hours now. I noticed that here in Buenos Aires, Argentina the maids are very thorough about cleaning. They do a wonderful job and make sure everything is top notch. I respect that a lot, so I give my maid a good tip for what she does. Every time I come home I am shocked to see how nice our apartment looks.
Every inch is dusted or scrubbed and it smells so clean and refreshing. I work better in a clean environment so I make sure our apartment is put together the best I can. I don’t like a cluttered feeling when I am trying work or relax so I make sure everything is in order when I can. I find it hard to relax and enjoy myself on a Sunday if there are dishes in the kitchen or a mess in the living room. We always have people over throughout the week so some times it gets to be a lot to clean. Just last night I was cleaning up from a party we had and the dishes alone took me about forty-five minutes.
I guess it is the small price I pay for having a nice apartment that friends want to come to; o I don’t mind it to much. The place we are staying is a nice place and I feel bad if anything gets ruined. With a big group of people drinking wine in a small apartment it is easy for things to get ruined occasionally. After working wine tastings here in Buenos Aires I have seen what a pain it can be when wine spills on clothes or furniture, or if glasses break.
