Chalk one up for the good guys. That’s us! Van Jones, Barack Obama’s Green Jobs “Czar” stepped down over the Labor day weekend. Even though the name Van Jones was never uttered by the N.Y. Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, or CBS, until he resigned, talk radio and the Steve Malzberg Show educated the public on just who this man is. Once exposed, he became too much of a liability for the White House to keep around, and President Obama did to Jones what he did to the Reverend Wright, his church, William Ayers, and even his own grandmother…he threw him under the bus.

Jones is reportedly an admitted communist, who has called republicans “A**holes. He signed a petition urging then N.Y. State Attorney General Elliot Spitzer to investigate the ”role” of the U.S. government in facilitating 9/11. That would make him a “Truther”, someone who believes that our government committed mass murder on September 11, 2001. But according to www.newsbusters.org he’s also quoted in a posting from a 9/13/2001 summary of an Oakland rally as saying, “The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up New York City.” That also makes him a “Deserver”, one who believes that we deserved the 9/11 attacks, much as Reverend Wright appears to believe that. And there is so much more on Jones. he claimed that “white” polluters and environmentalists were sending poison into black communities, and that the whole green movement was a vehicle for radical social change in America. Otherwise, a real nice guy.

Yet his departure is being mourned by the main stream media, David gergen and Donna Brazile leading the way.

While Jones is out, I believe that he represents many of Obama’s views. He was not appointed to his Czar position by accident. Neither was Harold Koh, State Department legal advisor who thinks that Sahria law has a place in the United States. Nor was Science Czar John Holden who once wrote about mandatory abortions and sterilization as a way of controlling the population. Same for Cass Sunstein the Regulatory Czar who believes that upon ones death, the government should have a right to your organs, unless you have previuosly signed in opposition to that. The “presumed consent” is the opposite of the way we now do it. And then there’s Obama’s medical advisor Ezekiel Emanuel who believes in doctors doing away with their Hippocratic oath because it causes doctors to focus too much on the needs of the patient and not consider the greater good of society. All of these folks are barack Obama. Be very afraid.

In a recent CNN national survey, President Obama received a C on his second 100 days in office. On health care reform, respondents gave the Obama administration’s efforts a D; 49 percent of respondents gave an F. Spending is totally out of hand with Obama running up multi-trillion dollar deficits. The proposed health care takeover combined with cap and trade, and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts would cripple this nation beyond recognition. It is clear that the Obama administration has a separate agenda – it doesn’t matter what the cost is or who gets hurt in the process.

We all need to continue to keep the pressure on with STAND UP FOR AMERICA! Government officials in Washington don’t seem to recognize that WE have hired them to represent US…not their own interests…and that is OUR money that they are spending. If such a high level of disapproval and mistrust exists, how can they honestly say that they are representing US?

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama’s announced his nomination of Ben Bernanke to a second term as the head of the U.S. central bank. “Ben Bernanke, has led the Fed through the one of the worst financial crises that this nation and this world have ever faced.” His announcement of this nomination has raised a lot of questions for a term that begins on Feb 1st – which is several months away! That is a long time to deliberate who will be the head of our countries financial institution. So why is Obama talking about this now?
Obama is getting a lot of criticism right now from his strategy or shall we say, “non-existent” strategy in seeking to enact legislation to overhaul healthcare. With the reappointment of Bernanke’s second term, Obama plans to shift himself from the hot seat. “Ben approached a financial system on the verge of collapse with calm and wisdom; with bold action and outside the box thinking that has helped put the brakes on our economic freefall.” Is this the same guy who helped engineer the financial sector bailout last year? And the same man who sought to gamble with taxpayers money, by rescuing banks without any consideration for homeowners and smaller businesses?
The government forecasts that the U.S. national debt will double over the next 10 years. This happens to challenge Obama’s health care plan. The National debt will be pushed up from more than $11 trillion to $20 trillion in 2019. Both the White House and Congressional Budget Office anticipate that the deficit will decline swiftly in the next three years as growth resumes and federal bailout programs shrink.
With the national debt increasing, what is the future for the living the American dream? Raising a family or starting your own business? We need to fight back with STAND UP FOR AMERICA.

On Wednesday, Obama urged religious leaders to back his proposals, arguing that health coverage for Americans is a “core ethical and moral obligation.” The President and many of our Congressional leaders are attempting to pass a bill that will nationalize our health care. This is yet another step towards socialism! The bill, H.R. 3200, will cost over $1 trillion. H.R. 3200 is even more costly than the economic stimulus bill passed earlier this year.

On Thursday, the President was on the Michael Smerconish radio show, to discuss the health care overhaul bill. If he signs the bill, Obama claims that it will reduce rapidly rising health care costs, protect consumers from insurance abuses and provide affordable choices to the uninsured, while not adding to the federal deficit. RIGHT… SURE… Hey, Mr. President…is there a bridge that you’re going to try to sell us too?!?

Obama’s administration has yet to address how these programs will be paid. Further, they have yet to address what potential shortages and strains these reforms could pose for the existing health care system.

We need more answers and indeed DESERVE more answers than we’re getting. That is why we are fighting back with Stand Up For America.

Reportedly the man who ran for the White House as a “uniter,” is poised to pull off one of the most divisive moves in the history of U.S. politics. President Obama and the democrats in Congress are now closer than ever to shoving health care reform down the throats of Americans by invoking a rarely used tactical move in the U.S. senate, known as reconciliation.

Normally a bill needs 60 votes to end debate and gain an up or down vote on the floor of the senate. But Obama and the democrats know that they don’t have 60 votes, even though there are 60 democrats in the senate. Enter reconciliation. It’s been around for about 35 years and it’s only been used 22 times, usually to make small modifications to mandatory spending programs. Never has it been used on anything approaching the magnitude of health care reform.

Instead of the normal 60 votes to cut off debate, there will be a pre-established 20 hours of debate, and then it stops, automatically. Next comes the up or down vote, and all Obama will need is 51 votes to get his bill passed. 51 votes, not 60!

Two things will happen as a result of such a circumvention of normal and fair senate procedure. First, if it passes, Americans will see their health care, the best in the world, die. Also, it will spell doom for the democrats in the 2010 mid-term congressional elections and for Obama’s reelection prospects for 2012. If you think people are outraged now, allow me to quote the liar-in-chief, “You ain’t seen nothing yet.”

“So that’s where I think you just get into some very difficult moral
issues. But that’s also a huge driver of cost, right? I mean, the
chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting
for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill out here.”

Those are the words of our lovely president that appeared in a NY
Times Sunday Magazine interview back on May 3, 2009. And just how does
Mr. Obama propose to “deal with” this reality? “Well I think that
there is going to have to be a conversation that is guided by doctors,
scientists, ethicists and then there is going to have to be very
difficult democratic conversation that takes place. It is very
difficult to imagine the country making those decisions through normal
political channels. And that’s part of why you have to have some
independent group that can give you guidance.” Can you say, “death
panel”? You don’t have to, President Obama already has.

There are numerous examples of Obama bringing up the death panel
issue. In late June, at his town hall day-long ABC-Fest, he stated
that, “end of life care is going to be one of the most difficult
decisions we will have to make.” Yes America, Obama and his cronies
will be making those decisions. I could include more from his mouth,
but I think you get the point. People are concerned about death panels
because of his philosophy on health care. The Obama Administration can
try to shift the focus and the “blame” to Sarah Palin, “teabaggers”,
right wing talk show hosts (hey, that’s me!) but in the end it’s real,
and it’s Obama’s baby.

On Tuesday at a town hall forum in Houston, Texas, Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) obviously felt it was more important to attend to her own matters than respecting those of her own constituents, in this case a worried cancer victim. The youtube video shows Jackson-Lee continue to speak on her cell phone, while you view a woman trying to finish her question and simultaneously hear someone else in the crowd saying, “Seriously? Really? I mean, come on. Dude!” Most of the democrats and proponents of health care reform claim that the town hall attendees of late have lost their manners, since some of them scream and shout at the representatives and argue about the reform in such a violent fashion. However, in this case a representative forgot her own etiquette.

In an interview after the fact with The Washington Post, Jackson-Lee says, “I don’t know why (Republicans think) it’s so challenging. I happen to be able to think, listen and maybe even talk at the same time.” Who says that? And why not at least pay respect to your fellow citizens? Isn’t that what this country was founded on: clear, open, and honest communication?

Why even hold a town hall when you are going to take calls from the outside?

The AARP, the leading senior advocacy group, is facing increased unrest within its membership. Though there is a large group of members who support President Obama’s health care reforms, many more are starting to voice their widespread complaints about how the AARP is handling the reform process. In fact, members are so disgruntled that many have taken to destroying their membership cards.

In an attempt to unify their members, the AARP has released a statement of dissent; though the organization asserts that it does support measures to reform health care, it has not endorsed any legislation proposed by the current administration.

Despite the AARPs now clarified view on the current health care debate, President Obama released a statement yesterday at a town hall forum in Portsmouth, N.H. that hinted the group was “endorsing” the reforms; “we have the AARP on board because they know this is a good deal for our seniors,” Obama said at one point. But this is far from accurate. In a response to this statement, AARP Chief Operating Officer Tom Nelson issued a rebuttal saying that the organization has not endorsed any legislation. “While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate,” Nelson said.

Does Hillary Clinton feel some sort of narcissistic need to stand out in every situation she gets herself into? As Secretary of State, Hillary has a responsibility to the Citizens of the United States to always represent the values and attitude towards other Nations and other people that proper decorum suggests should always be demonstrated. While on her 7 Nation trip in Africa, she fell short on every count, barking in response to a question regarding President Bill Clinton’s views on International Finance involving China. “My Husband is not Secretary of State. I am. I am not going to be channeling my husband.”
As our Ambassador to the World, is Hillary Clinton really doing this Country a service by airing her insecurity in the shadow of her husband, and her coarse and entitled point of view of world politics? America deserves a world-class representative, who can keep personal feelings and views to oneself while extolling the virtue of the American way and the benefits of positive relations with the United States.

The FCC appointed Mark Lloyd as “Chief Diversity Officer”. Mark Lloyd is a communications attorney who wrote a report called, “The Structural Imbalance of Talk Radio”, which calls out conservative talk radio as a “problem”. In the report, Mark Lloyd cites ways he thinks the “problem” can be addressed. What does this mean?

Everyone should read this article from Newsbusters.

This is one of the first steps the government is taking to limit free speech and freedom of the press. Clearly this is an attempt to shut down conservative radio in favor of a more “balanced”, and likely liberal, lineup. Appointing liberals in the FCC to “balance” the structure of free radio is part of Obama’s agenda to expand government control to every aspect of life. With 35 radio stations being shut down in Venezuela, Obama is taking his turn to do the same in America.

Democrats and left-wing nuts in the media continue to attack those folks who speak out at town hall meetings across the country. They claim that these folks are wealthy conservatives posing as “average Americans,” with connections to insurance companies. In a video shown on the Fox News website, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D) says, “They’re (citizens who object the health care bill) carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare.” What?

On a related front, the White House, on its website, has asked that any “fishy” emails that supposedly misinform the public about what the Obama administration’s healthcare bill is really all about be forwarded to flag@whitehouse.gov. In response to this, Senator John R. Cornyn (R-Texas), has sent a letter to the White House. The letter urges the President to “cease this program immediately.” How will Americans’ privacy rights be protected if we are forced to be watchdogs and essentially tattle on each other by forwarding these emails? What will we do with these email addresses?

Does this mean that the White House’s enemies list will soon include the names of innocent town hall participants, in addition to the originators of these “fishy” emails? What are we becoming? Does any of this strike you as “change you can believe in?”

As many of you know, Congress has been debating whether to allocate more money to the car allowance rebate program, aka “Cash for Clunkers”. The idea is to take cars that get less than 18mpg off the road by providing an additional 2-4 thousand dollars in rebates to consumers buying fuel efficient cars.

It is a good effort to help the environment but “Cash for Clunkers” is really just an attempt to stimulate people to invest in the shaky car industry. Couldn’t the millions of dollars going towards this car industry stimulus serve the country better by funding something more worthwhile, like helping middle class families?

The used cars that get less than 18mpg are junked by the dealers, taking them out of circulation and hurting the used car market. Also, why draw the line at 18mpg? What about all thsoe people who have cars that run at 19mpg? What do you think?

UPDATE Augest 5th 2009:

The proposal to give another 2 BILLION dollars to the cash for clunkers program was approved by the House of Representatives. The senate is still deciding. Another point; Obama claims that Cash for Clunkers is good for the environment but this article by Newsweek found that the total effect is negligible. We know a car industry stimulus when we see one!

Three New Jersey mayors and five rabbis were included among those arrested today for a scandal about international money laundering with a ring involving goods such as human organs and fake designer handbags. Hoboken Mayor Robert Cammarano III, Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell, Jersey City Deputy Mayor Leona Beldini, State Assemblyman President L. Harvey Smith and State Assemblymen Daniel Van Pelt are some of the high-profile names who allegedly participated in this scandal. Additionally, Ridgefield Mayor Anthony Suarez supposedly accepted an illegal $10,000 cash payment for his legal defense fund, since he is an attorney. Corzine’s take: “Any corruption is unnacceptable, anytime, anywhere, by anybody. The scale of corruption we’re seeing as this unfolds is simply outrageous and cannot be tolerated.” Busloads full of those arrested were brought to the FBI’s Newark field office Thursday morning.

A new proposal is coming up. We need to decide how to handle the major issues that have been committed by the New Jersey powers that be-mainly those who keep the stimulus money from returning to the hard-working taxpayers. We were told that this would occur and so far it has not. Therefore, what are we going to do to fix this?

What is your stance, regarding the economy and the ways the New Jersey state government handles the stipulations encompassed in it? We know that there have to be people out there who feel this way. Who else is a favor of the cause? And will you join?

Some of early initiatives you can take on are pretty easy and do not require too much time investment. For example, you can start by calling, writing, or emailing your representative. Your local congressman, mayor, etc. will respond if you generate enough interest in this cause. Consider calling to report stimulus spending misdemeanors. You need to follow up, and keep calling repeatedly. I implore you to go through with this. This is one of the only ways to achieve our goal.

Please let me know if you are willing to help out in any way possible. We need all the help we can get. Let’s do this!
